Inkognito is built from the ground up to protect your privacy and identity. We believe that true freedom of expression requires uncompromising anonymity. When you post a secret or confession on Inkognito, your confession is detached from personal identity tracking.

2. Data We Collect (and What We Don't)

We prioritize minimal data collection:

• Account Credentials: If you choose to register an account, we store your chosen handle and a secure argon2/bcrypt salted password hash. We never store plaintext passwords.
• No Real Names or Social Linking: We do not require real names, emails, phone numbers, or social media logins.
• Confession Content: Secrets and comments you submit are stored to display them on the feed.
• No Persistent Location Tracking: We do not track or log your precise GPS coordinates.

3. Moderation & Safety Systems

To protect the community from illegal activity, self-harm, hate speech, and severe abuse, submissions pass through local automated multi-language content verification filters. Moderation flags do not reveal your private identity to other platform users.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and posts at any time. Account deletion completely purges your user record, associated confessions, comments, likes, and reports from our active database tables.
